Important Steps after BED BUG BITES

Take Photos 

Take photographs of all visible injuries, including wounds and bugs. Take photos of the bed sheets. Look for signs of prolonged infestation like small dots on white sheets



Seek Medical Treatment as Soon as Possible 

if your feel ill at all, seek medical attention. If you have an pre-existing conditions that are affected by the bites, seek medical attention

Capture and Save a Bug or Bugs 

I know this is the last thing you want to do but try and capture some bugs and save them in a container or even a napkin.

Report the Bites

Report the incident to Hotel Management, Vacation rental owners/managers and landlords immediately. While you want to inform them of the bites and ask to be moved do not make an extensive statement to them.  They may ask where you were before coming to their facility. No need to to get into any details with them. This is often an attempt to later say you brought the bugs with you.
