Contact Me Quickly - Timing is VERY Important!
If you or a family member have been injured in the Palm Coast area it is very important to speak to an attorney right away. While many people are hesitant to pursue a claim or don't want to be perceived as greedy or litigious, the truth of the matter is that your rights and your ability to recover could be diminish significantly because of a delay. The key to any legal matter is "EVIDENCE" and it can have a way of disappearing and being repaired or modified following an accident.
I cannot tell you how much it brakes my heart to speak with an accident victim weeks or months after an auto accident only to hear that they released the vehicle and allowed it to be destroyed as a total loss. In many cases that vehicle is the most important piece of evidence in the case.
My motto is that it is better to have the evidence and not need it then need it and not have it.
I will help collect and preserve the evidence you need to recover if you wish to pursue a claim.
FREE CONSULTATION in Flagler Beach or I can also come to your Home or Hospital after hours or on the weekend.
ALL INJURY REPRESENTATION IS DONE ON A CONTINGENCY FEE AGREEMENT. THERE IS NO COST TO YOU UNLESS I RESOLVE YOUR CASE.
Important Steps after A Personal Injury Accident
Contact A Lawyer
You may not have a valid claim and you may not feel like pursuing a claim at the time, but I would still be pleased to speak with you and at least let you know the options. I have spoken to far too many people weeks, months or years after an accident when they finally decided to pursue a claim but due to the delay their case became significantly diminished or impossible to pursue.
TAKE PHOTOS (Everyone has a camera phone these days)
If possible take as many photos of the accident scene as possible. In addition, take photos of your injury. Keeping a photo diary of your injury and recovery can be very helpful to your claim.
Do not speak to an Insurance company representative for the adverse party.
This person is not out to help you!!!!!!
Their job is to diminish or deny your claim. Remember an insurance company makes a profit by paying out as little money as possible. Anything that needs to sadi to them should be by your lawyer.
Get Witnesses Contact Information
If there are witnesses politely ask them for their name and phone number. They may be hesitant to cooperate but let them know it is just as a precaution
Seek Medical Attention As Soon as Possible
In some accidents you have limited time to get medical help in order to establish a claim. I generally see two types of reactions to an injury accident. The first is when someone has a broken bone, an open wound or hits their head and loses consciousness. In these cases an ambulance is usually called so medical help comes to the victim. The second scenario is when a victim has an accident but due to the shock and embarrassment they want to leave the area as quickly as possible. In these cases the person goes home and simply wants the incident to pass. Unfortunately, once the emotions and shock wear off, the pain arrives. Sometime it is hours later or the next morning. It is important to seek medical help as soon after your accident as possible because you cannot always determine the extent of your injury without a proper medical evaluation.
